Ella had a great day. She’s doing good on the 24cal food at a rate of 25ccs per hour. This has played a big part in her mood.

We tried feeding her some apples, but it didn’t go well. She’s definitely taken a step back in this area. There was a time when she’d open her mouth for more food, but now, she just melts down. It’s hard to see this backward progress, but Tina reminded me that we were here before, and she’ll come around again.

At this very moment, the Bun is asleep, and Tina, Kelly, and I are outside enjoying a mild October night in Colorado next to our fire pit.

I know there are many of you out there who don’t comment, but you do check us out almost every day. Thank you for keeping up with Ella’s progress and for all support.

Love the headband. She is a doll!!! Thinking about your family often…

having the bun happy and at home is HUGE, especially mos that she’s much more comfortable. Labs Monday will hopefully tell us where we are exactly and then we can all figure out what steps to take to go up on caloric intake, as well as liquid volume. But as of now, I’m just happy that were in a good place to enjoy this beautiful October night.

John 12:36 says “put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.”
only one person can intervene in our lives and bring happiness and fulfillment and satisfaction even when health fails, and we’re set back, and when posessions come and go and savings accounts dwindle and things go wrong. Obviously, that person is Christ. Apart from The Way, there is no going. Apart from the Truth, there is no knowing. Apart from the Life, there is no living. God says, “remain in Christ, and rest yourself. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”

Its discouraging and disheartening to see ACH backward profress, I know, but like Tina said, we’ve been here before, so we’ll make it through again. I’m just so blessed to be able to be a part of Team Ella!!

Happy Saturday! Sleep well 🙂

I can just see the three of you sitting on your patio enjoying the fire pit! What a perfect and beautiful night for that! It is so fun seeing Ella’s bright smile, and I’m so glad she is doing better even though there are bumps in that road! God bless you, all four, and may she just get stronger and better each day! I thank God for this precious little life, for the way He holds you up to do what you need to get done for the Bun, and for His leading Kelly to you! We will keep praying for wisdom for the doctors and you, too, and forward progress! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your journey! Ella is so precious to all of us out here, too!
