Ella did not do as well today. She is still in the stable range and the cuteness factor is amazingly high. But, her saturations were low 90’s tonight and her last blood gas was pH level of 7.2, cO2=79, pO2=74. This is not real good – – carbon dioxide is too high.

When we visited, we had a nurse that had never taken care of Ella. She seemed really nice, but I think it just made it that much harder to leave our baby’s bedside tonight.

If Mom’s intuition is right, Ella has less and less fluid output over the past several days. I think her fluid build up is to a point where it is now beginning to affect her more. She seemed less comfortable and more fussy tonight. When she did have an episode, it took her a very long time to recover. This is usually her pattern when she is not feeling great.

As of last night when we looked at the CT scan with Dr. Kays, radiology had not published the report on Ella’s superior vena cava. We did not hear an update today either. Hopefully, we can get a status on this soon.

Tomorrow is surgery. We did not hear from Dr. Kays today, so we are not sure about the plan for surgery. We are hoping that we can get more information from him directly tomorrow before the surgery occurs. We are told that it is planned for the early afternoon.

Please continue to pray for sweet little Ella. Petition for the Lord to give wisdom to Dr. Kays, so Ella’s fluid issue can be solved. Ask for the Lord to uphold us, so we can remain strong in His love for us.

Psalm 63:7-8

Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

Ella gives me encouragement as I face a 4 month recovery and knee surgery this upcoming Tuesday. I have also been dealing with steroid fluids. From one premature baby to another, keep strong sweet girl. I know tomorrow will be okay and I will keep you in my thoughts.

We have to remember that Ella is in the Lord’s hands. It does not make it easier or better. We just have to believe that all that can be done for her is being done. Everything spirtually,physically and emotionally she is being supported. We will petition the Lord for a miracle and steady progress for next week. We all suspected this was not going to be easy nor gentle. Stay the course. LoL Aunt Char and Jim

Sweet Jesus,
Comfort this darling little girl in her distress. Guide the skillful hands that you have created as they care for her later today. We pray for Ella’s complete healing for the praise of Your Glorious Name. You are the Life Giver and we know we can give our anxious thoughts on behalf of this dear baby girl to You knowing that you Love her and Care for her more than we could ever imagine. Thank you for letting us share in this great love! Give her parents rest and hope. You promise to never leave us or forsake us and to never bring us more than we can bear. They have been through much already and we praise you for the way You have sustained and comforted and given hope for many months now. Please do the same today. Please Protect Ella from infection and complication and use this surgery to bring her complete healing. Strengthen her according to the Power of Your Name! We put our trust in You. Love…..

We are lifting all 3 of you up to our mighty and capable Lord this morning and throughout today. Our Lord already knows the outcome of today and he knew Ella’s name before he created the Earth…NOTHING is too big for Him to accomplish! We are praying for wisdom for Dr. Kays and the staff, for strength for the two of you and for Jesus’ healing precious blood to wash over your beautiful daughter and heal her THIS DAY! We are claiming His promises along with you both today…He is so proud of you and how you are clinging to Him through this.

Go God! Go Ella! Go Dr. Kays!

I am praying that Ella gets better so much. God is an almighty god. As the Bible says,”In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”. And if He can do those things, He can heal Ella when he pleases. 🙂
