Valentines in Gainesville? Easter in Gainesville? No, I don’t think we’ll be here that long, but you never know. God’s timing is interesting to say the least. All I know is that we will be here until His work is done. We continue to trust Him, and know COMPLETELY that He is in control.

Ella was doing ok last night. I went back with Tina to see her and her stats were looking real good. She was sleeping soundly. It was good to see her so comfortable.

We received a call this morning from the nurse practitioner letting us know that Ella had a very rough morning, so much so that she had to be re-intubated.

This is not totally unexpected, and in some ways we think it’s a good thing because it will give Ella’s nose some much needed relief from the CPAP. We went in to see the Bun this morning and she was sleeping soundly, and her stats looked good.

Her x-ray this morning confirmed that her left lung was still collapsed and that her right lung had partially collapsed as well. This is probably the main reason for her intubation.

Dr. Kays had indicated that he would do her nissen surgery tomorrow, only if she was doing better. Considering her current state, we’re betting surgery will be pushed off until Monday or Tuesday next week.

The passage below has been on my heart this morning. Very appropriate for Thanksgiving week.

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Thank you for your continued coverage in prayer. I know there are many who do not post, but are with us here in Spirit. Praise God for all of you. His Kingdom come, His will be done. Amen.

I love Philippians 4:4-7, and one of my favorite things about it, is that it leads me to Philippians 4:8! “whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

In thanksgiving and peace,
KTJB

My heart goes out to you. I will pray for the little bun to continue her progress. It’ must be a lot of hard work for her to develop that lung to the size she needs. Trust in your heart in God that she will get better the way she needs it to happen.
Lots of XOXOXO

Oh I am happy to see that she is getting some rest and breathing support. Yeah, I bet her nose appreciates the break. She is such an incredible joy, even in the midst of this struggle. Blessed be the name of the Lord! We stand with you in prayer!

I don’t post often, but think about you all every day and check on you at least once a day. Prayers are always for Ella’s progress and feeling well (which in turn makes you guys feel well, right?)

We’re so glad Ella feels more comfortable now–we think she’s just trying to get ready for her surgery. It’s like she’s saying, OK, bring on the tubes and let’s get on with it so i can move on to my next step : ) Anyways, thanks for the early post–our hearts have been heavy together with yours and it’s good to see Ella getting rest. She’s in our prayers! May He renew your strength each morning.

Wow!! 17 weeks…. what a long, long journey this has been. Ella, you are definitely a marathon runner. It is the last few miles that are the hardest. You are almost there girl!!
Keep it up… keep your chin up, your spirits up, your smiles up, your strength up, your faith up… just keep it up. Keep on keeping on.
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
This song came to me….
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

———————————
How great is our God? He is so awesome. All powerful, all knowing… our creator!
He has not left you. He is always with you.
I can hear that you all are growing weary. Hang tight!! He has come to redeem. He did not bring you all this far to let you down now. This is all in His timing.
Turn to Him and lean on Him. Find your strength in Him.
———————————
Dear God, we kneel before you and humbly pray for the West family. Give them strength Lord for they are growing weary. Help them to see the light at the end. Give them peace that only comes from you.
Lord, be with them every moment and whisper affirmations to let them know that you are faithful.
Lord, most of all… Bless the West family.
At this time of Thanksgiving we thank you and praise you for the beautiful life of Ella Renae. We thank you for her parents who are so faithful.
Please strengthen Ella so that she may move mountains. Help her to climb to and over this next mountain.
We ask that you would heal Ella’s body that has been through so much in her short time here on earth.
Be with Par and Jonathan and may all of the healing that is done be for your glory. We thank you that you are the great physican.
Be with Dr. Kays and give him the wisdom and knowledge to know the next steps to take. We pray that he would not find Ella a challenge but that he would come to a place of victory with her. Thank you for Your hand in all of this.
AMEN!!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
——————–
How can I say thanks
for the things you have done for me
Things so undeserved
Yet you give to prove your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Cannot express my gratitude
All that I am or ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee

To God be the glory
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
For the things He has done
With His blood, He has saved me
By His power, He has raised me.
To God be the glory
For the things he has done

Just let me live my life
And let it be pleasing, Lord to Thee
And should I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary.

With His blood, He has saved me
By His power, He has raised me.
To God be the glory
For the things he has done.

Josh and Tina-
Hang tight!! On the eve of Thanksgiving I just want you both to know that I am so thankful that we ever met, that we kept in touch and that I am able to be a part of this journey in your lives. You are such a blessing to so many people that you may never know. May God bless and keep you.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Love, Melissa

BREATH OF GOD
…………….
Breathe on me, breath of God
My spirit yearns for You
Hide me in Your fathering arms
Fill up my longing soul

Flood over me like a river, my God
Immerse me in Your living stream
Awaken the song
That You placed in my heart
Spirit, breathe on me
Spirit, breathe on me

Breathe on me, breath of God
Burn bright, eternal fire
Father, draw me near to Your heart
You are my one desire
—————————–
BUT FOR NOW
…………
I stare up at the sky wondering in my pain
My heart is parched and dry
I see dark clouds but there’s no rain

But I’ll trust in You, Lord
And in Your unfailing love
I ask You to hear me
But for now I will

Wait(hope), I will wait(hope)
Crying for mercy
Would You lift me up while I
Wait(hope), I will wait(hope)
I lay my life down
And my soul waits(hopes) for You
—————————-
THIS IS THE AIR I BREATHE
…………………….
This is the air I breathe
This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence
Living in me

This is my daily bread
This is my daily bread
Your very word
Spoken to me

And I … I’m desparate for you
And I … I’m lost without you

—————————–
Father, as Josh and Tina wait for Your timing may you speak to them and give them peace and strength. May You be the air that Ella breathes.
Amen!!

Over here we are coming into the Thanksgiving hours before you and as we do we will certainly be lifting you up before our Father for His continued hand of healing upon Sweet Little Ella and also for strength for you both as well. It *has* been a long road, but we know that the Lord walks this path alongside you and His strength is PERFECTED in your WEAKNESS… “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2COR 12: 9 & 10

Father – thank you for this family.. you knew all these details before time even began and you knew it would test the boundaries of strength, love and patience… Help them to depend on You for their every breath and BLESS them beyond what they ever expected – their faithfulness has been such a testament to your love and grace in their lives. I pray that as they go through their daily routines – your HOLY SPIRIT would fill them again continually with your strength and power… AMEN!
