Ella slept through the entire night for Nurse Janet. It was great because at shift change (7pm), Ella was drowsy. But instead of letting her sleep, Nurse Janet some kept our girl up a couple more hours. She did this by doing her hands on assessment, weighing her, and keeping her entertained with stories just to make sure she that would sleep through the night.

We got up early to see the Bun this morning and we snapped the picture above. Yes, we got up early because we have the feeling this might be our last weekend without Ella at home, so…

We decided to take a break and escape to Disney World, about a 2 hour drive from Gainesville. =) We spent the day at the Magic Kingdom park and left there to go have dinner at P.F. Chang’s (Tina’s mom had given us a gift card for Christmas). We’re going to stay the night in Orlando, and have breakfast with our friends (the Boemler Warings) tomorrow morning and then drive back to spend the day with Ella for the Martin Luther King holiday.

When we called throughout the day to check on Ella, she was doing great and having a good time with Nurse Kristen. It is refreshing to have Ella doing so well and maintaining the steps she has taken forward.

With all her great progress from this past week, it felt so good to just to top it off with some fun. We kept up with all the comments on the blog throughout the day from her phone. It was surreal to be at “the happiest place on earth” and to be blessed by everyone’s words at the same time.

As the slogan goes, Walt Disney World, where dreams come true. We feel that our dream has come true in the life of our baby girl. We praise Him for creating such a wonderful little girl and we’re excited to see how He continues to work in her life.

Thanks to all of you for how you have already participated in her life. As always, may she continue to be a reminder of Him and His call for us to trust Him, every moment of every day.

I’m thrilled for you, that this stage for Ella appears to be coming to an end. I pray that one day you’ll be taking her to Disney World!!

Good for you two. Please tell me you had one of those corn dogs they sell out of a truck at the end of Main Street. That right there my friend is the gift that keeps on giving.

Ella looks Adorable. Wiki needs to put Ella’s story under the entry for “miracles”.

Ditto on what Laura said! Now that you have us hooked on this little miracle story, it would be just cruel to leave us hanging wondering about the next chapter! You know you’re going to have to maintain this blog til Little Ella is married with kids of her own, right???

You guys, it’s so great to hear how God has continued to pour out his answers to our many, many prayers. One of my secret prayers for you were that you’d be able to get away together again before she came home and it sounds like you were able to do that yesterday! Yay! There have been many battles you 3 have faced together over the past 9 months and we’re thankful that He has sustained your faith and used your family to strengthen so many, including us : ) Our prayers are for continued strength and progress this week. He is good…all the time! Rest in Him!

I’m really glad you two got to let off some steam at Disney…and I’m even more glad about Ella’s progress!! She looks so good in the pictures you’ve posted over the last few days. God is absolutely amazing…we’ve been praying for God’s power and glory to be revealed through Ella and both of you and what you’ve been through. Our miracle boy turned one month old yesterday and I can’t get over how greatful we are for every day we have with him. We have all been greatly blessed just to be able to care for these children while they’re growing up. It’s a wonderful thing to be used by God to accomplish His purpose. We’re so happy for all of you and continue to lift you three up in prayer.

It is these times that help us get through the other times and to fully realize the depth of the many blessings He has given us. Without the valleys we would never know or appreciate the joys and reach out for Him or truly know His love and compassion. We are so very excited for the three of you – please know how much you have come to mean to us and the blessing you have given us by sharing your lives these past six months. As I have said before- you are part of our family. Our prayers continue and we send lots of hugs – Steve and Joan

I’m thrilled to hear (and see from your pics) that Ella is looking so peaceful as the angels watch over her while she is sleeping. What a beauty she is and it is wonderful that you took some time for yourselves and let the “magic” surround you! I hope my daughter, Lori (Vodnik) is reading this wonderful news about Ella, as it’s Lori’s b-day today and I’m sure it would be a wonderful gift.

Praise the Lord… what an amazing change from last week. It was unbelievable to hear that she might go home as early as next week… amazing! Hope you said Hola to Goffy for me… he is the man at Walt Disney. We love you and know that God has been by your sides the entire 6 months. God Bless
