Ella is such a cutie patootie.

She was really trying to talk today. When she is in a good mood and gets excited, she decides that she wants to try and communicate. Honestly, it is more of a grunt than baby babble. Either way, it is something!

We have our last appointment with Dr. Kays tomorrow. First, she will get a chest xray. We’re hoping that her lungs look clear and larger (more developed) than her last xray in early February when she was in the hospital. Also, we get to see if Ella has gained any weight.

Once we leave tomorrow, it could likely be a year or so until we get to see Dr. Kays again. That will be a strange feeling because he has always been close since she was born. Our prayer is that the follow-up care providers in Colorado will keep Dr. Kays informed and consult with him throughout the year as needed.

Were trying to figure out a time that we can visit the NICU and see some of the other nurses and respiratory therapists that helped take care of Ella. We’re hoping that comes together before we leave.

The days are counting down to our journey to Colorado. Josh will be leaving in 12 days and we will be home in 19 days.

Literally, it seems like every other day there is severe weather and tornadoes along the path of our drive (the south and central part of the country). Please pray for a safe drive – – first for Josh and Doug and second for Josh, Ella and me. We have lots of driving to do and need protection.

We’re so blessed to have a cutie patootie.

Ella, I bet there is a ton you would like to say but I bet we will be in for that treat later. Please say hello to Dr.Kays for me and I am praying that your x-rays are super. Your Mom couldn’t be more correct about how cute you are. I am getting ready for work. I mowed the yard today and things are starting to look good. I am going to pray for your Dad and Doug to have a safe trip and avoid all the storms. Have a great day, catch you later. Love,Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
Psalm 126:2-3

We’ll pray for protection and a safe trip for all of you.

Dear Tina, I want to wish you a very happy, belated, Mother’s Day. I watched the slide show this morning that Josh had made over the weekend and there was a picture missing. It’s the one of you crying your eyes out because I’m sure you did that a lot. There would also probably be one of you both in a chapel in the hospital praying for the miracle that you now have. If we took all the tears from both of you plus all of us it would probably fill up a swimming pool. But look at us now and that’s what is important. You are a beautiful woman and mother inside and out. I feel so honored to know you and in a small way to share your journey. I will pray for everything to go your way with the Big Move. Bless you, Love, Laura M.

Wow! The excitement must be so awesome! 19 days til you walk in your front door with your beautiful little girl for the first time. I am very excited for all of you. There will be “issues” as I am sure with any long trip but God will carry you all safely home – Just when I think she can’t be any cuter you post another picture and I am just in awe! She is so adorable – praying for your trip and your visit with Dr. Kays – I am sure it will be hard to say goodbye. Love, hugs and kisses 🙂
