The Bun started her day with some great bed head. I can honestly say I don’t have this issue.

We made it to Kansas City, and our room number in the hotel is 1313. I thought having a 13th floor in a building was bad luck. I also just noticed that it is day 311. Lots of 1’s and 3’s…hmm…go figure. The heavy storms were to the north and south of us during the drive. We only saw 3 drops of rain…yeah…I counted ’em (thank God).

You can see how much leg room Tina has in the back seat.

She did figure out how to make herself a cup holder though :).

Half way through the drive, we got Ella out for a diaper change and food break. She’s not a big fan of the car seat, but she perks right up when you take her out.

Once we arrive at the hotel, the Bun enjoyed doing some stretching out…

and Tina and I enjoyed some Kansas City BBQ =).

We’re going to try and hit the road earlier tomorrow because we’re pushing all the way to Denver and it’s going to be about a 9 hour drive.

We expect to be turning up Ella’s oxygen as the elevation increases. The pulse-oximeter will be hooked up to confirm her saturations. We’re praying that she transitions well into the altitude and that she can tolerate the longer drive. Also praying for the good weather to continue.

WE’RE ALMOST HOME!!!!

It is going to be quite a homecoming party for this little miracle. Praying that Ella adjusts well to the altitude change, and that the last day of travel is uneventful and quick. Please keep in touch.

Thank you for sharing journey number 2 across the states with all of us. Great photos! And Ella looks so happy given all the changes over the last couple of days and her history of not liking change. Have a safe trip to Denver. Just click your heels 2 times as you leave Kansas and say ‘there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home…”

Gainesville prayers are with you on your final stretch as they have been for the entire trip. Wish we had been as wise as you many years ago traveling from Alabama to Kansas with a 3 month old in making the days shorter. You are so wise! Many blessings as all of you adjust to the altitude and finally arrive home. There is no place like home!!!!

I pray the Bun makes it for all those hours feeling the excitment that y’all have. The altidude does sound a bit nerve-racking to have that change so fast, but she has it in her blood from Mommy and Daddy. I pray that you don’t have an issue at all and that Ella just feels the love of coming home. She has so many people just hardly waiting to meet and greet her. Have a few Starbucks and y’all will be fine. Seems like Mommy has already figured out how to make a “home” wherever she is and will be fine having that nice Starbucks sitting in her cup holder – lol. Williamsburg…might have to check that place out sometime =)
Just goes to show that God is bigger than any combination of numbers and things that come in 3’s are usually terrific, like God himself and you three! Can’t wait to see the new “crossing the state line” pictures with the whole fam! Hang in there, Miss Ella, you are almost there! XOXOXO

Who needs to scrap book when your parents document every day of your life under your own domain name. This is the future! Incredible!
