This little piggy(Day 270)

The highlight of our day was having Nurse Janet visit.

She decided to come over before working her graveyard shift in the NICU. It was so great to see her. Of course, Ella was still having stranger anxiety, but began to adjust a bit more towards the end of her visit.

As you can see, Nurse Janet was having a good time playing with Ella’s little piggies.

And of course, Janet did not come empty handed. She went overboard and brought us dinner, wine, dessert, and muffins along with coffee for breakfast. Way too nice.

There are a few people that we are going to miss tremendously when going back home. Nurse Janet is definitely one of them. We are hoping that her along with some of the other friends will make a trip out to Colorado some day.

Ella did amazing with her bottle today. One time, she finished a complete bottle. Another time, she took all but 10ccs. In total, she took 185ccs via bottle over 4 feedings, out of 280ccs total given in those feedings. Pretty good for Ella.

We had a nice lazy Saturday as a family. Ahhhh….

We’re so thankful to the good Lord Ella is doing so well. What a adorable baby she is! Looks like you two have the East & West coast Pretty well covered when it comes to wonderful friends. As they say,when it comes to friendship, it takes one to make one! What are a wonderful blessing our friends are! Allthe Lord’s best to all three of you! Prayers always, Gloria & Red

Miss you sweet Ella. Your cousin celebrated his first year today – can’t wait for you to join him. You continue to be in our prayers and are our daily inspiration.

Ella, You are just making such great progress with your food. It looks like you had a pretty good day with Janet and Mom and Dad. It was very nice here about 65 and sunshine. I will check on you again later. Love,Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! I left a message on Josh’s phone today, but I guess you were busy. I was in Gainesville and wondering if I could visit. I’ll be here in the morning until noonish, and I’d love to see you guys and maybe get some breakfast or something.
