Ella had a good day and did well during her therapies. We’re all a bit wiped out though because it’s been a sad day for us. We had to put one of our cats down.

We knew something hadn’t been quite right for awhile. It wasn’t until the last few weeks when she had some dramatic weight loss and other symptoms that pointed to kidney failure that we knew it wouldn’t be long. We agreed that at the first sign of her starting to suffer, we would do the humane thing. Well that was today…and she’ll be missed. Every night for the last few years she would come up and “say goodnight” to me by giving me those rough tongue kisses on my nose. Pumps was such a sweet cat…even non-cat people liked her. Goodbye Pump-a-tudis.

it’s not fair that our beloved pets don’t live as long as we do… there must be a good reason for that… I haven’t figured it out yet… sympathies to you all…

My heart goes out to you as you say goodbye to Pumps. Our pets are so precious because they just love us wherever we are at in our lives. I know you will always have wonderful memories of her, as I do of my Buttermilk who also died of kidney failure. Hold on tight to those memories, and kiss and hug extra on Ella and your other kitty. God bless each one of you and know how many prayers are being sent up every day for your journey with Ella and your lives as a family, pets and all!

Awe, I’m so sad for you guys. That stinks! It seems like she has been around forever, didn’t you guys get her in California years and years ago?
Anyway, at least you know she is not suffering anymore. Take care, Dawn
