Matthew 1:20-23 (NIV)
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

I was so sad I didn’t get to spend Christmas day with you all, but it turned out to be a nice day with my family and a few special friends here in town.

Ella, I’m rejuvenated by your smile constantly and I’ve truly missed it these last couple of days–only a couple left! It’s great to see you still so happy even with the recent modifications to your diet and everything else… what a HUGE Christmas present to us all–for Ella to be feeling well!

Tina and Josh (and Grandpa and Grandma) I hope you all had a remarkably blessed day. I’m praying for a much less eventful 2009, for sure! haha. Just kidding. But I do hope you are all feeling and soaking in the presence of the Lord this Christmas in ways you may not have been able to last year because of Ella’s NICU status. I love you all! See you Sunday 🙂
