Today was good for Ella.

She was in an amazing mood. For the first time in weeks, she slept solid last night until 7am. That is so rare! Maybe she just knew that I needed my beauty sleep too! Actually, between her sleep last night and her overall mood today, it was a strong indicator that she is feeling good physically.

It is so much fun to be around her when she is happy. These types of days are rare for her, so when you have them, they stand out and just help to fuel for the other days. She responded better to eating today as well as physical therapy and for the most part, was just happy and smiley all day.

We’re so glad that the weekend is here to enjoy as a family. And we can only hope that she is on a streak and will continue to sleep well and be smiling tomorrow.

Psalm 63:6-8 (NIV)
On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.

Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

Ahh bunness! It was so amazing to see you doing so well yesterday! 😀 It’s amazing how much your behavior/attitude correlates with just how you’re feeling physically. It’s such an awesome break when you really are just genuinely feeling good. It’s SO much fun to take care of you and play with you when you’re enjoying it yourself (even though you DO know it’s work!)

I was reading through Ephesians this morning and this verse stuck out to me; I thought I’d share.

Ephesians 1:18-19
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength…”

“The hope to which he has called you…” It’s very evident to me what He has called you/us to do. To care for, love, adore, and protect this beautiful child. His child. HIS little girl.
“His incomparably great power for us who believe…” He makes it possible. Always. Anything He wants done, He will make possible. Doors open and close at His mighty will. It’s amazing how evident some of those doors openings/closings have been lately–the SVC procedure being only one of many.

I pray that He continues to bless you guys–ALL of us–with the hope He has for tomorrow with relation to our girl, and the strength to push through the darkest and heaviest storms we’ve faced and we’ll continue to encounter.

“There are no accidents, only God ordained moments.”
Love you all!
