Ella, I am glad to hear that you are sleeping more and in longer periods. I am also really impressed with your oral feeding. Sounds like you might just resolve this feeding issue on your own. Josh,Tina, and Grandma sounds like you are getting along as well as can be expected. I will check on all of you later. Love,Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! on the bottle feeds! She is doing so well. We are praying for you all to have endurance….I know that it must be SO hard, especially for you, Tina to be the entire NICU staff 24/7! I am praying that God would provide you with strength only he can give and that the hours you do get to sleep are amazingly restful.
Brendan and I used to switch off…I’d go to bed at 8pm, and sleep until 4:30 when the baby got up (anytime after 2am was my turn) and Brendan would do the anytime before midnight feeding. We got more sleep that way…at least 6 hours each! We love you, and can’t wait to see Baby Ella and you all in person. Brendan has been working on a big project that should be done in the next few weeks, so we are hoping for soon!

I’m glad to hear about her sleeping and eating progress, it’s really encouraging! She seems like overall she’s doing really well! Abby and I were talking yesterday about some really close friends of ours who lost their son (at 8 weeks old) to SIDS about 8 months ago. They have both been struggling through each day ever since and it’s been especially hard for the Dad lately (not sleeping, not hunting on weekends- which is a huge change for him). We are so very blessed for each day, whether it’s a good day or a not-so-good day, that we have with our kids. I thank God for my family and for you three daily. We receive so much from the Lord although we really deserve nothing. His love is truly amazing…
With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.”

She is just fabulous! And don’t worry kids cry everyday for about the next 18, it’s part of their flare 😛
Of course she loves her bottle that’s how we eat and relieve thurst. And I’m sure that after her crying spells… she gets very thirsty. I know I do! Always thinking of you!
XOXO

From one nap-queen to another, way to go, Ella! Seriously, in the midst of all of the other issues this precious girl has had to face, praise God that her body knows when it needs to sleep and does so! My 4 yo still takes naps and Mommy sleeps right along with her – beauty sleep, heck – it’s survival sleep around here! =) Along with Matt, we try to be humbly, gratefully conscious of what a gift our kids are each and every day, reminded always by the Journey of Miss Ella Renae and her awesome parents. Yay for bottle feeding -keep up the good progress. We love you muchas muchas. XOXOXO

Way to go Ella. It cannot last forever. You will turn the corner and things will get better. Looking at her pictures today it seems as though she is petite. Give you Mom our love, Aunt Char and Jim
