We thought you might appreciate seeing Ella during one of her moments. Yes, believe it or not, that is the loudest silent cry that you will ever hear. But it is reassuring to see her cry and fuss too…she is getting stronger and stronger as the days pass.

As of this morning, she is stable and doing well. Her latest blood gas was cO2=55, pO2=121. Dr. Kays has decided to hold off on any ventilator changes for today.

Praise God – – the additional amount of octreotide medicine seems to be kicking in. If you remember, her total chest fluid output for Wednesday was 105 and Thursday was 120. On Friday morning, the octreotide meds were increased and this brought her total for yesterday to 80.

Thank you for all the continued prayers. You are witnessing how He is answering them.

The Holy Spirit blessed us this morning:

Seek God, moment by moment, and live in His truth. May all of us be obedient and take a few moments to get away from the distractions in our lives, be still and listen. Drink in the truth of Him and the peace that He can provide. The world will not understand. It may not make sense by just looking at your circumstances. But God is sovereign and He is always in control of your life and all the details. Seek Him.

It is so good to see her remain stable and you both keeping your spirits up (and keeping us all filled in on what is going on). We continue to send you all the best wishes we can, and you both make sure you take of Ella and yourselves :). We miss you all!

Oh you sweet girl – it is reassuring to see you getting stronger and doing what all babies do; must be hard, too, though, for Mom and Dad not to be able to do what parents do and pick you up to hold and comfort you. However, all of this wonderful progress means that that day is coming, we know. Meanwhile, continue to grow in the knowledge that Jesus loves you so much and is with you every step of the way. Thank you, Lord, for blessing Josh and Tina with your Spirit this morning. Love you guys always. XOXOXO

“Jesus loves you, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” Such true words are these. He does love us all and is answering our prayers.
Ella you are precious even when you are upset…and if anyone deserves to get upset sometimes you do my sweet!
Praying for you Mom and Dad for your strength and the knowledge that the day is drawing near when you will be able to hold your precious Ella. Prayers also Ella for you to continue with the wonderful stats and decrease in fluids.
Much love sent your way, Fran

I can’t explain the wonderful spirit I feel when I see this little munchkin. She has been a constant thought in my mind and never ending prayers are sent each day. We love and admire your constant vigil. We are so grateful that Ella displays a bit of spunk. She has put up with alot for a long time. We pray for constant improvement and peace for her parents. We hope you are taking care of yourselves. I will not do to get sick when she needs her mom and dad to hold and cuddle her. Have a wonderful sabath day. Love, Aunt Char and Jim

Good job Ella! Continue to be a fighter! I pray the fluid will continue to come down so you can get those chest tubes out. 🙂 You look wonderful. Hugs & Kisses ~Nurse Angie

Ella, you are looking great! We continue to pray for you and your mom and dad. I think you should save up all those soundless screams until you can get off the ventilator and you are home with mom and dad. Then, fire them off at about 2am. It’s a great way to spend some one on one time with mom and dad since they’re up (now) and don’t have anything else to do. 🙂
Love, hugs and the like from the Richards clan
