Oh, our little girl’s sweet 16. Tina and I were able to give Ella a real bath today. Tina did most of the work along with nurse Janet. I was trying to take pictures and video of the event.

Ella likes her bath time. I now have a new appreciation for how much work goes into giving her a bath these days.

Overall our girl is looking pretty good. They were not able to get her upper GI test done today, but they’ve scheduled it for tomorrow at 3:30pm. We’ll be looking forward to hearing the results.

Please pray that her reflux is not that severe. We’d like to avoid having another surgery.

It’s midnight and the NICU and we’re wiped, so we’ll be keeping the post short tonight.

God Bless and have a good night all.

Hi Josh and Tina: First time checking out your blog. I am a friend of your mom, Tina. Our church will be praying for Ella for continued positive progress and you and your family for strength as you go through this very difficult time. Checked out some of the previous posts. Seems as though Ella is making progress, heading in the right direction. If you guys are interested, our church has a prayer quilt ministry. Just say yes and let us know what favorite colors or textures, and we will get one made and sent, prayers attached, to you guys. Little Ella really is a beautiful girl. Take care and God bless.

Wow!!
Little Miss Ella looks great. She is so beautiful!!
I have been checking on all of you, thinking about all of you and praying for all of you.
I’m so glad that Josh and Tina are able to get away and take some much needed time to relax a little. You need to be strong and rejuvenated yourselves so that you are able to give to Ella.
Praise God that Ella enjoys her bath. All 3 of mine didn’t enjoy bathtime when they were little and it was very hard. I can only imagine if Ella didn’t like it. So, that is one blessing in itself. Thank you Lord!!
Lord, we lift Ella up to you and pray that the results of her upper GI would be amazing. That they would find nothing wrong and that you would ease her reflux. Lord, I ask boldly for you to heal baby Ella’s body so she would be able to leave the hospital and go home with her mom and dad who have been patiently waiting for that day. We know that your timing is perfect and we thank you for that. May your will continue to be done in and through the West family.
As we enter this time of Thanksgiving there is so much that we are thankful for. We thank you for the gift of Ella’s life and that we are able to share in it, that her fluid issue was resolved, for the strength that you continually give to the West family, for your peace in Josh and Tina as they continue on this journey and most of all Lord… we thank you for your unconditional love and that you never leave us. THANK YOU, LORD!! When we look back and only see one set of footprints we know Lord that you were carrying us. Thank you for knowing when we can’t go on and reaching down and picking us up.
Keep Ella stable and strong as she goes through another test today.
Bless Dr. Kays and give him wisdom to know how to proceed with Ella.
Please be with Par and Jonathan continue to heal and strengthen them and their families.
AMEN!!
Have an awesome day! Rest in the fact that He is in control. You guys are so faithful and are being used in mighty ways. Take care.
Love, Melissa

Wow Ella, your first touch of water! Someday we will be able to take you for a swim. Aunt Char will love that. Good to see all of you. Hope things go well and that the reflux is controllable. It looks hopeful since she has been able to keep her food down. Praying for success in all your endeavors. LOL Aunt Char and Jim

Ella looks absolutely beautiful with her nasal cannulas! The CPAP just covered too much of her face…I’m so glad she’s taken this step forward!
