…and think that it might be a good idea to stay in Florida for another 6 months. We’re thinking that it might be…April Fool’s Day!

Yeah, there is NO WAY that we want to stay in Florida any longer than necessary for Ella. Although the details are still coming together, we think it might be as soon as late May/early June. Again, we are still praying and knocking on doors to come up with the best plan. Hopefully, we will have the timing decided in the next day or so.

Ella had a fussy day. She seemed to be running a fever. I ended up giving her Tylenol twice to see if that would make her feel better. Josh mentioned that it appears like her gums are bothering her a lot again. Because of the Tylenol, she became drowsy and took 2 solid naps.

We were only able to get 2 feeding sessions in today via bottle. One time, she took about 35 ccs and the other time, she took the entire 75ccs via bottle! I’m so excited to see that she has taken an entire bottle a few times over this past week. It takes a really long time, but she is definitely getting better at the technique.

We have a physical therapy appointment tomorrow in the late morning. I’m hoping that she responds better this time. I was able to sit her up in the chair again today (the chair that the PT provided). The more time she sits in an upward position, the stronger she will get. Today, she lasted about 15 minutes.

Tonight, Ella fell asleep earlier than her usual bedtime. So, I needed to change her into her pjs and change her diaper before the rest of the night. Since she was so comfy and in such a deep sleep, she let me know that she was not happy. When she cried, it was a loud, piercing cry. I looked at Josh and smiled, “She is getting stronger”.

Okay, this is my baby that could not cry for months. Yes, we are crazy parents that like to hear our daughter cry but it does have such an underlying meaning for us when she lets it all out. The louder it gets, it simply means that Ella is getting stronger and healthier. And that warms our hearts.

Happy 36 Weeks to Ella! We thank Him for blessing us with our baby girl. She simply means everything to us.

Wow! I know how exciting it must be to see this small, yet HUGE light at the end of the tunnel! Coming home to where you have such an enormous support system will be so incredible! There are so many people here, I’m sure, that are more than willing to give your little Bun some love and give you a break to get some errands done!

We wish you the very best in deciding what will be the right timing..I’m sure everything will come together in His perfect plan for you and the Bun!

She looks so incredible! What a beautiful child of God!

Sweet dreams little Bun!

Thinking of your family alot!

Ella, Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well but it sounds like you are getting your rest and eating. Glad to hear you are thinking of coming home soon. I was beginning to believe that I might have to come to your graduation from High School in Florida. Good luck with your PT today I hope it goes well. I am also impressed that you are starting to get vocal about what is not going your way. “GO ELLA” let them know when you are not happy. I will check on you later. Love, Grandpa!!!!!

It’s funny how we (as parents) get excited about stuff like that. I can remember getting really excited every time Caed made a “deposit” in his diaper…just because it meant that his little innards were doing what they were supposed to be doing. Also that strong, healthy cry…since he had some respiratory problems early on (someone forgot to tell him about it I guess) we loved hearing it. We’re so excited for you three about ya’ll going back to Denver soon! I know you’ve been missing friends, family and familiar surroundings and all those “big city” amenities –Trenton is catching up though…our one stop light works around the clock…it doesn’t start blinking after 11pm like some other towns around here…but I for one will miss you once you’re gone. Meeting you two and your little miracle has been one of the best blessings from God and I’ll always be greatful to Him for that. I don’t know if you’ll ever really realize how many lives have been touched by Ella’s story. It’s a wonderful testament to the faithfulness of God and the pure power of His love for us. He is Holy, He is Good, He is God Almighty. Period.

I’m sure it feels good to see that ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ when it comes to going home. What blessings He gives each of us – hope your day is good and Ella is feeling better. Prayers and hugs – Steve and Joan

I know those first six months in the hospital were a mini-eternity, but here on the other side, what an awesome miracle to think of you guys actually coming home so soon – we are speechless with joy. I personally thank God for the ability to cry and praise Him for Ella’s strength of self-espression and the safety and wisdom of parents who love her enough to let her cry! Love you guys. XOXOXO

Yeah Yeah Yeah. It will be so good to be home in your own bed with close friends and family. And Ella is proving to be a good traveler after all. She looks so cute in those polka dots!

Whoops… poor sentence structure. I did not mean that you would be home IN your bed WITH your CLOSE friends and family!!! That might prove to be crowded.

Do I see Ella’s arms looking chubbier? She is such a cutie! How wonderful it will be to have the three of you back in Colorado with family and friends.
