More heat and thunderstorms kept us inside all day again. It has been a restful and lazy weekend. We’re soaking up the last hour or so this evening before the work week begins, so tonight’s post is going to be short and sweet…just like the Bun.

Finally, Ella took a full bottle this morning after lots of patience from Josh. Praise God!

The countdown for heading back home has started. Only 48 days until the move begins! Looking at photos today reminded us of how much we miss Colorado.

Also, it was nearly 60 degrees in the Mile High City today, per Ella’s Grandpa. The dogs were outside soaking up the rays. Have I mentioned how much I miss my dogs? This has been a long journey. Thankfully, Ella’s Grandpa has been babysitting them this entire time and likewise, they have kept him company. Here is a picture of them last summer before we came to Florida.

Not sure why, but this verse stood out to me today as I read this psalm. Maybe it is because we have come so far with the Bun, yet we have such a long way to go. I do know that His timing is perfect. This verse is not a command, but a promise. It is a promise that I can hold onto when my eyes don’t seem to tell me the same story.

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.

We praise and thank Him for Ella Renae; she is such a blessing.

“While that was short and sweet, there was so much meaning behind the pslam.”

Love you Ella.

As you contemplate going home and resuming a “normal” life…I am just thinking about what a gift this blog is going to be for some other couple who received some unexpected CDH news and makes decisions based on the hope and encouragement that you have fleshed out here. Praise be to God that he doesn’t waste a minute of pain..who knows how He will use this? Exciting to think about, isn’t it? Praying for you. Love, Lesli

Ella, Thanks for taking that whole bottle from your Dad. Keep up the steady progress and soon you will be home and starting all new adventures.
Taco and Manny had a great day in the yard and wanted me to say hello. I am at work and it is raining outside. I have told all the animals and the Dinos that you will be home soon. They all are waiting to see you. I will check on you later. Love,Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, typically for CO, after a gorgeous day yesterday we woke up to snow on the ground this morning and more expected, but the good news is that will all (fingers crossed!) be behind us by the time you arrive. Even with the iffy spring weather here, we’ll be so glad to have you out of the path of potential FL hurricanes – yech. Keep up the good work on the feeds, Ella, you’re doing great. Love you guys. XOXOXO

Our fondest wishes to Ella. We know how long it has been since home. That is hard on everyone. Your patience has been needed on this journey. We are hoping for wonderful things to come. LOL Char and Jim

Glad to hear you are coming back to Denver soon. As usual, after a nice warm day there was snow this morning. At least that will all pass by the time you get here. Will be thinking of you and the family for a safe and happy trip! (My sister used to have Ella as a patient at Shands and passed along this wonderful site. I live outside of Denver) 🙂
