Ella had a good night – – stable and progressing forward. We don’t expect much news or changes to her care today. Most of the time, the weekends are mellow without drastic changes. For now, she is maintaining a steady path and getting stronger each day.
Tomorrow, we look forward to seeing if her ECMO level will be dropped further along with an update from Dr. Kays on when he would like to operate. We are thinking it will be sometime this week.
Please continue to pray that she gains more and more strength each day. We want her stats to remain stable once she is off ECMO and this requires a lot from her little body!

On Monday, April 2nd, 2007, we went for our 20 week ultrasound and found out that we were having a baby girl. On Wednesday, April 4th, we found out that she has a high-risk birth defect called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). God is using this time to stretch us and test our faith, but we are holding tight to His promises.

Tina and Josh I just got your baby announcement and spent the day reading through your blog. I cried a lot and smiled at times reading all you have been through. I am not even sure how you got my email but I am glad you did so I can keep baby Ella in my prayers. When Ella is feeling better we will have to catch up. It’s been a very long time.
