Grandma Eusey left yesterday. The Bun misses her already.

And we gained one hour of sleep this morning…or we should have gained an extra hour of sleep. Didn’t Ella get the memo?

Aside from sleep on this Sunday, Ella is healing from her cold. She is still snarfy with a snotty nose and coughing here and there. On another note, it does seem like she might have more fluid on board. Three indicators: higher heart rate, labored breathing and increased weight gain. She does not normally gain weight as quick as she did over the past week. To try and fight it off, we have increased her dose of diuretic to twice per day. The coming days will be telling.

Although I wish I had another week before starting work, I can’t believe that I start tomorrow. It’s going to be strange to not only have a job again, but one where I have to drive to an office. I was blessed to telecommute for nearly 7 years at my prior job. I’m hoping and praying for wisdom, guidance and strength as I embark on this new chapter of my life. It is going to take a lot out of me and require an adjustment to balance work & home life.

Along with this huge change in our personal lives, we have an election this week. I have encouraged every person that I know to vote. Here is what the Lord tells us: “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”– Romans 13:1

One thing is for sure: Times may be uncertain, but God will never change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. It’s sure nice to know that our Savior’s love for us won’t change, and we can have full security in Him, regardless of what our eyes may see.

Thank you for all the prayer support. It means so much as we continue on this journey of life with Ella Renae.

Boy can I relate to snot issues, when the twins were babies and had colds I would just sit and wonder what wonderful thing could snot be used for, it could be our ticket out of Saudi Arabia! Alas, they are older now and use Kleenex so…I have had you in my prayers lots lately, especially since you will be leaving the nest. Take special care of yourself, keep the fun mom things to do with Ella–delegate to others when you can, and simplify. Moms working outside the home have 2 full time jobs, plus husband time and something left for you!?! You go girl! Laura

Good luck as you start your new job today!

And you are very right about the election, plus no matter WHO WINS, like them or not, one thing remains certain: GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE! And He’s still in control!

I am praying that Ella starts to feel much better!

At Sunday Mass, our priest asked the congregation to let others see God in us and to look for Him in others; I immediately thought of Ella and know that I see God in her beautiful face….what an inspiration she is to us all….Be Bleased and Be Well, Ella.

ps Loved the Halloween pictures….what a cutie.

Good luck at your new job today Tina! We’ll be thinking about and praying for concentration and peace while away from Ella. On top of that, maybe now we’ll get your evening posts earlier in the evening hoping you’ll be going to bed at an earlier hour!! Get some rest, have strength and call for help whenever you need it!

If there is one thing you guys could write a book about it, it is transitions from the known to the unknown, and today certainly fits with that theme. How cool to know that we have a God who never changes upholding us underneath it all, but the circumstances still require much of us. Praying that amidst all of the things that are taking energy away, Tina, that there are some things that add it back to your life as well, like new friends and new challenges and satisfaction in doing part of what you were designed to do. Blessings to the Bun and Kelly on their transition, too. Hugs to all. XOXOXO

Good luck at your job today! How exciting! Have no worries…it seems as if Kelly is a spectacular girl and will love her just as much as you and Josh!…Our nannies that took care of our girls turned out to be some of the girls’ best memories…they were flower girls in their weddings, were fortunate to have safe “sleepovers’ at nannies houses and now babysit for our nannies kids…. truly they are an extension of our family. I’m sure Kelly will be with yours too.
