Ella’s stats are kind of teetering on the edge tonight. Her blood gas percentages aren’t as solid as we would like, and her pO2 levels are also not as high as we’d like. We were also told that she’ll be having surgery sometime next week…even if her stats on ECMO don’t improve.

We’re still holding out for her to grow stronger over the next few days so that she can have surgery off ECMO, but if she doesn’t improve, she will have to have surgery on ECMO which is incredibly risky.

This is very hard news to hear. The heaviness and deep sadness is difficult to even describe. I feel like we are walking on hot coals but there’s no relief in sight.

The only think I could do on the drive home tonight was to repeat part of Psalm 23 over and over and over:

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;

Please pray for Gods grace and peace to be upon Tina and I tonight and for our baby girl’s stats to improve.

God bless all of you.

Isaiah 61:3 says to exchange your mourning for the oil of joy; your spirit of heaviness for His garment of praise, that you may be called trees of righteousness, the very planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

The joy of the Lord is your strength!

We love you!

Our prayers are for both of you to be refreshed during the nights so you are physically and emotionally prepared for each day. Do not be concerned about those times when you feel distraught as this is part of your journey of faith. The Lord understands and is holding all three of you so close to Him. My prayers are with each of you through the day and night! Lord Bless – Hugs – Steve and Joan Odell

In case you didn’t see this yesterday.

We had an idea last night that we thought would be kind of special for Tina, Josh and Sweet Ella.
We are going to put together a book for the West family. If each of you could send me a note via email or mail to be included, we will prepare the book. The “book of love” will be 8 ½ by 11 and is for Tina and Josh to gather more strength and to read to our Sweet Ella. If you have kids, maybe they can make a picture and you can write a note, copy a poem, or whatever you feel compelled to do.

You can email me at [email protected] or send to me at 1964 Port Laurent Place – Newport Beach, CA, 92660. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 949-718-1604.

We think this will be something they can have forever as a reminder of all the love and support they have surrounding them.
Please feel free to pass this note to friends, family or friends of friends and family that are praying for the West family. We would like to get all the pieces for the book by the 20th. I will post this a few times over the next week so if folks aren’t reading daily they will catch the note.

Thanks and much love,

The Eusey family

PS even if you are friends of friends the Wests or friends of the family, feel free to send something. I know this will mean quite a bit to them.

Josh–thanks for sharing your heart with us. It is not often that one hears beautiful music coming from one in the midst of the storm. You and Tina have been an encouragement. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your hard journey. We are praying. Love you all.

Dear Josh and Tina,
I don’t know if you remember me, but I am one of Lynn’s long time friends and she told me of your trials. I am praying for your blessed little girl and I have total faith that our Lord will bring you all throught this and your blessings will come in abundance because of your faith and belief in His promises. I have told others about your situation so that more prayers can be added to ours. God Bless you both and precious Ella. We believe in Jesus name for her healing.
Christi
