When we called to check on her night and morning, we were greeted with good news. Ella’s saturations are 99/100%. Her last blood gas was pH level of 7.39, cO2=55, pO2=66. This isn’t great but the nurse stated that she was a bit agitated right beforehand.

Her feeding tube did get plugged so they had to clear it out. Ella’s food was stopped for a couple hours, but she picked right back up where she left off. For the past 24 hours, they have not had to give her any extra sedation to calm her down.

Since they don’t have the catheter, they simply weigh the diapers. With Ella’s increased feedings at 14ccs per hour, the increased amount of “urine” output also includes any poop! So, yesterday she had a total of 498ccs! That is definitely the highest we have heard yet!

Her total chest fluid output for the past 24 hours was 17.5. Go Ella! No fluid! Go Ella! No fluid!

It’s Saturday and game day. Yes, the Gators are playing today as well as Uncle Rick’s alma mater, the USC Trojans. Ella decided that she wants to vote for the Trojans. I can’t imagine why!

You don’t know me, but I am praying for Ella! Lots of people you don’t know are praying for Ella. As parents, you are an inspiration and strengthen my own faith. You’re not just talking the talk, but walking the walk as you lean into God through this. God bless you all.

Oh, my heart. Ella is such an incredible girl! Praise Him, Prise Him! She is healing, she is getting stronger, she is abiding in the Lord’s tender care day by day. What a gift. What an inspiration. What a beautiful child! Have never even met her and I have this love for her because she is my “little sister” in Christ! *sigh* Bless you all for including us all on this journey!

A very young USC fan!! I’m sure the team would be very flattered to know that they’re letters are being worn on a very precious head!!!
Go team…….especially to Ella and her family. (I have never explained who I am, but feel perhaps I should. My friend Anne, she made a darling blanket for Ella, knows a friend of the family and we began watching Ella’s progress while working together). Thank you for allowing absolute strangers in to your lives
Your faith in the Lord is an inspiration in my life and I think of you often.
I pray that the Lord will continue to bless Ella in her recovery, give Dr. Kays wisdom in his care and decision making processes, and that we will all bow our heads and thank the Lord for his precious love!

Hey Josh and Tina!
I just caught up on some of Ella’s journey. This is a bit late, but her smile is incredible. Steve and I think of you very often. In fact, Steve occasionally calls Sophia “Ella” on accident. : ) Much love to the three of you and here’s to the day you can take her home!!
