Hi Josh and Tina, It is amazing that you are leaving behind this part of your journey. I had hoped I would get to meet this little miracle in person…although I feel like I know her. I have prayed, cried and prayed some more for Ella. She has blessed me and changed me. One day 30 years from now I will read about Ella Renae and all that God has done in her life and the amazing things she will be doing for Him and I will smile and know I prayed for her and witnessed a miracle in the making. I often tell people who are seeking God to come to your site so they can see what an AMAZING GOD we have. May God continue to make His face shine upon you and be gracious and give you peace. Safe travels and God speed!

Ella, You look so pretty in your dress for the party. It was great that you had a chance to thank all of those wonderful “ANGELS” that helped you get well while in the NICU. I am praying for a safe and uneventful trip HOME! Yea. I know you have got to be SO excited. May God keep you and bless you every step (and mile!) of the way…can’t wait to get an Ella update. How will I get any sleep the next week without my nightly Ella updates?

Thank you for the honor of treating your precious gift. I learned many lessons from your angel including listening and responding to her cues. She is an excellent communicator to those of us who stop to listen. She is a very special child and a blessing to all. Have a wonderful trip back to your home. You are wonderful parents. I am delighted that I was invited to come into your home.

Hello Wests!
I was thinking of Ella the other day and thought to check her blog! My, how she’s grown! And look at that hair!! I’m not sure if you remember me from the NICU (Lord knows you met a lot of people there). I took care of Ella as a nurse in the NICU at night and as a nurse practitioner student during the day. Kinda like a super hero, with the alter egos! lol! 🙂
Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say hi and tell you that she looks great and I couldn’t be happier for you and your family. I wish I could have been there for the NICU reunion but I graduated in December and now I’m a nurse practitioner in another NICU about 3 hours away.
I’m glad you were able to finally get back to Denver and it sounds like she has a good medical team on her side, not to mention great parents! Congrats again on Ella’s progress. Lord knows she had a rough go of it for such a little one but she was strong and I can already tell she’s a little trooper. I wish nothing but the best for her!
